Our Leadership
Gavin Grounds Gavin Grounds has more than two decades of leadership experience in design, implementation and operations of global, integrated IT systems and solutions. During his career, he has developed in-depth expertise in all areas of Information Technology, including systems analysis, software development, network design, integration and operations, infrastructure operations, business operations and project management. This laid the ideal foundation for him to become an industry-recognized leader in the area of global It Risk Management, covering Security, Privacy, IT Audit / Compliance and Business Continuity.
Grounds has held executive leadership positions in both large corporations and start-up companies around the world, in geographies including Europe, Scandinavia, Southeast Asia, Australasia, the Americas and the Caribbean and in multiple industry segments, including International Finance, Gas & Oil, Manufacturing and Outsourcing.
His leadership experience has positively impacted companies such as HP, EDS, Shell, SKF, Bank of Bermuda, ABN Amro Bank, Commonwealth Bank of Australia CIMB and Banco de Chile, to name but a few.
Born and educated in the United Kingdom, where he gained a Bachelors Degree (Honours) in Computer Science and Computer Management through the British Computer Society and Bermuda College, Grounds is also a Chartered Engineer (CEng), a Chartered IT Professional (CITP), a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and is an accredited member of both the Institute of Directors (MIoD) and of the British Computer Society (MBCS).
He is the Chair of the British Computer Society USA Section, which he founded in 2004, and also serves on the Board of Directors of a number of small companies in the outsourcing and marketing services industries.
Before bringing his wife and children to the United States, he has lived in Bermuda, Spain, Malaysia and of course, in the United Kingdom. He has worked in numerous countries around the world and speaks English and Spanish. |
